Acans (Micromussa Lordhowensis, previously classified as Acanthastrea lordhowensis), are a popular and colorful LPS coral known for its vibrant, fleshy polyps that come in an array of hues, including reds, oranges, greens, and blues. These corals form dense, "candy-like" colonies that make them a striking addition to any reef aquarium. Their bright colors and unique appearance make them a top choice for hobbyists seeking a captivating centerpiece.

Micromussa Lordhowensis thrives under moderate lighting and low to medium water flow, which helps to keep its polyps extended and healthy. While it relies primarily on photosynthesis through its symbiotic zooxanthellae, it also benefits from occasional feedings of small plankton or coral foods, especially in nutrient-poor systems.
